Your Richmond Symphony presents Brahms’ lyrical Symphony No. 2, the world premiere of Sinfonia Americana by composer in residence Damien Geter, and Francesca Dego as the soloist in the Violin Concerto of Ferruccio Busoni. No less a romantic than Brahms, who echoes throughout this concerto, Busoni was a singular voice, an iconoclast who composed music for the future. This centennial celebration may be the moment time catches up to Busoni.
