The Youth Orchestra Program Percussion Ensemble provides middle-school and high-school percussionists with advanced ensemble training, chamber music experiences, clinics, master classes, and performing opportunities. Members must first audition for the Youth Orchestra Program (YOP)*.

Members:

• Participate in weekly percussion clinics, master classes, and coachings with Dr. Justin Alexander, Professor of Percussion at Virginia Commonwealth University
• Perform modern and classic percussion works with the YOP Percussion Ensemble
• Perform with other talented middle-school and high-school musicians in the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra (RSYO)and Youth Concert Orchestra (YCO)
• Receive advanced instruction on All-District, All-State, and college audition materials
