Join the Richmond Symphony for a free outdoor concert at Pocahontas State Park

Sept. 9, 2015 – Richmond, Virginia The Richmond Symphony invites you to enjoy a free outdoor concert on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 6pm at the beautiful Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, VA. Bring a blanket, picnic basket and family and friends, and enjoy the sounds of a live orchestra in an outdoor setting. The evening will be led by conductor, Daniel Myssyk
and includes selections from West Side Story, “Hungarian March” from La Damnation de Faust, and more!

This concert is FREE and open to the public (no ticket required). A $7 parking fee applies.

In the event of rain, this concert will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 7pm at James River High School, 3700 James River Road, Midlothian, VA 23113.

About the Richmond Symphony
Founded in 1957, the Richmond Symphony is the largest performing arts organization in Central Virginia. The organization includes an orchestra of more than 70 professional musicians, the 150-voice Richmond Symphony Chorus and more than 260 students in the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra programs. Each season, more than 200,000 members of the community enjoy concerts, radio broadcasts, and educational outreach programs.
