SYMPHONY SERIES COMPANION COURSE

Complement your subscription with our Symphony Series Companion Course! Director of Education & Community Engagement Walter Bitner leads this deep dive into the music of our 2024-25 Symphony Series. Each class in this unique companion course will focus on the repertoire of the Symphony’s next Symphony Series concert and feature a special guest with a critical role in the performance. Guests will include Music Director Valentina Peleggi, Associate Conductor Hae Lee, and many more! Through recordings, images, scholarship, biographies, backstage stories, and discussion we will listen and engage more deeply with the music and the artists who bring it to life. Classes are at 7pm on a Monday before the concert. Each class is 60-75 Minutes long and will take place on Zoom. A Zoom link will be emailed to you the morning of the class. STAY TUNED FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON.

Learn from home! We’ve launched a new online music school: Richmond Symphony School of Music (RSSoM). In an effort to continue our music education programs in a digital format, RSSoM serves music lovers of all ages! Our community music school provides a broad range of programming to Central Virginia, the Commonwealth, and beyond, as a way to carry out our mission to provide accessible music education for all and where all styles and traditions of music are valued, respected, and pursued with dedication, passion, and love.
