The 400th anniversary commemoration of representative democracy will feature a FREE public concert by the Richmond Symphony at Historic Jamestowne on Jamestown Island, July 30th. Come see former Richmond Symphony Music Director, Mark Russell Smith in his first return performance since 2009! 

During the month of July, join us in the birthplace of American democracy – America’s Historic Triangle. American Evolution is organizing the 400th Anniversary of the First Representative Legislative Assembly in the Western Hemisphere, which was held in the summer of 1619 in Jamestown, Virginia.

Bring your lawn chairs & blanket and enjoy live music from the Richmond Symphony performing pieces from American composers like John Williams, Duke Ellington, John Philip Sousa and more under the big tent!

 

Time: Doors open at 5:30pm, Concert begins at 8:00 pm
