Union Bank & Trust LolliPops Concert: Halloween Spooktacular
Saturday, October 27th – 11AM
Pre-concert Festivities starting at 10AM
Dominion Energy Center for the Performing Arts

September 28, 2018 – Richmond, Virginia: Dress in your favorite costume and meet us at the Dominion Energy Center to experience the Richmond Symphony performing an array of musical goodies! This concert is sure to surprise and delight listeners of all ages, as Symphony notes come alive in the spirit of Halloween. The first Union Bank & Trust LolliPops concert of the season will be held at the Carpenter Theatre, Dominion Energy Center on Saturday, October 27th at 11am. The Richmond Symphony will be led by Associate Conductor Chia-Hsuan Lin. Join us for a free pre-concert festival an hour beforehand in Rhythm Hall, featuring our instrument petting zoo, family-friendly activities, and much more! Local children’s book author Christina Shawn will also join the pre-concert festivities performing readings from her newest book, Lucas Plays. Enjoy interactive activities that will enhance the whole family’s Symphony experience. Your special ghosts, goblins and princesses will even receive a special pre-concert Trick or Treat bag!

The program for this concert will include thrilling music from Star Wars, The Wizard of Oz, Ghostbusters, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and more!

Our pre-concert festival is presented by the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Sponsors will be presenting fun activities for kids of all ages, including a photo booth, to get concert-goers in the mood for a spooky celebration! The festival begins at 10AM in the Dominion Energy Center. The family-friendly concert begins in the Carpenter Theatre at 11AM.

Union Bank & Trust LolliPops concerts are Sensory-Friendly and designed to create a performance experience where all audiences are welcome, including those with autism or other sensory sensitivities. An ASL Interpreter will be available at the pre-concert festival and during all LolliPops performances.
